︎ Taking on projects for Fall & Winter 2024

👋  I’m an interdisciplinary designer newly based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I recently received my Master of Science in Human-centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington. For my final capstone project, I applied speculative design strategies and a more-than-human-centered approach to create embodied rituals that sought to deepen our relationship with the natural world. In the not-so-distant past, I contributed to projects ranging from brand identity to mobile app designs at Microsoft, RGA, and Collins.

As a generalist, I feel most fulfilled when I apply my skills and knowledge to a wide variety of mediums and problem spaces. I’m equally at home designing a logo as I am architecting the operational process of a design team. Curiosity and observation are central to my design process. While design standardization has its place in promoting efficiency, I am committed to developing processes and solutions that are localized, authentic, and restorative.  

Outside the studio, I enjoy sun bathing during long morning walks (I’m a born and raised Angeleno!), cooking meals for friends, and practicing the skills required to manifest my vision of an urban homestead, where I grow and make most of the things my family needs.
